Personal Project
Moments - Upload and Tag Photos
Role: Full-Stack Developer
Duration: 4 Days

Overview
This project is a personal initiative to create a photo management application where users can upload, tag, and organize their photos. The application features a user-friendly interface for uploading images, adding tags, and searching for photos based on tags.
Challenge
Managing personal photos can be cumbersome, especially when trying to find specific images among a large collection. Existing solutions often lack flexibility in tagging and organizing photos.
The Process
I started by defining the core features needed for the photo management application, such as image upload, tagging, and search functionality. I designed the user interface using Angular with TypeScript, focusing on simplicity and ease of use. The backend was developed using NodeTS with Express.js, and MongoDB was used for storing image metadata and tags. I implemented Multer for handling file uploads and managing image storage.

Solution
The resulting application allows users to easily upload photos, add tags and search for images based on tags. The user interface is designed to be intuitive, enabling quick access to uploaded photos and their associated tags. The application also supports image previews and basic metadata display.
Outcome
The photo management application was successfully developed and deployed, providing a simple yet effective solution for managing personal photo collections. Users can easily upload, tag, and search for photos, enhancing their ability to organize and retrieve images.

Key Learnings
Building this photo management application provided valuable experience in handling file uploads, managing image metadata, and implementing search functionality. I learned how to effectively use Multer for file handling in Node.js and how to design a user-friendly interface for photo management. Additionally, integrating Angular with NodeTS enhanced my skills in full-stack development and TypeScript.
